I came across this post on TikTok, which really made me look at the big picture of where we are at as Americans. People are moving back home with their parents. People are working over time more than one job and still can’t pay their rent. People have dipped into their emergency savings and still can’t make ends meet. People are not paying their mortgages, and banks can’t recoup the homes due to squatting.
There’s other instances of people applying for not one but hundreds of jobs and they are unable to get an interview. Some of the interview stages are opted out. Some people receive text messages that they were hired for the position and then show up on the day of the first day of work and they are told that they were never hired.
What is happening to our country?
Why can’t we earn a livable wage?
