One of those things is age. Now, one of the greatest things about being a vtuber is that you can be whoever you want to be! But to lots of people, there are silent rules in this game when it comes to your identity IRL. As a black Vtuber, I find that within this space, we have to work harder to be recognized and respected because apparently, we are still guests in this space (ive seen that in the comments before) and of course, been accused of appropriation for being in this space. However that is besides the point. Today on the illustrious X platform, I saw a post that I felt that I needed to speak out on being that we already know that racism exists in this space down to gender wars, I addressed ageism. ![4475](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/free1/uploads/minxmafia/original/2X/b/b30928b7b10c76bb03b29e2c645eed1abed700b3.jpeg) A couple of months ago I was pretty vocal about the fact that black vtubers do not get the same type of opportunities as our counterparts do. One vtuber, Ironmouse, had these social spaces in a frenzy because she was offered an opportunity for a sponsorship that she turned down because of the fact that the game had elements of generative AI in it. That these creators are walking away from sponsorships and opportunities not because of the morality behind it, but because of the fact that they were losing followers if they continued to support or they would lose money. So, right there, there is a paper trail on me speaking on these discussions to prove that I care about these matters.
